Flint Hill Students Bring Hope to Afghan, Pakistani Youth
By collecting their pennies, students at Flint Hill Elementary School hope to support the sending of school supplies to children in Afghanistan and Pakistan, the goal of the third annual Pennies for Peace drive that begins on Friday, June 4.
The project helps students understand different cultures and realize how everyone can help make a difference and create positive change in the world for as little as a penny.
Classes will collect pennies until Friday, June 18.
As part of the Pennies for Peace drive, facts and information about the cultures of Afghanistan and Pakistan will be on display in a showcase in the main hallway, and information will be shared with students during the morning announcements
